Dear Praying Friends,

Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou has done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered (Psalm 40:5).  God's blessings have been innumerable during our ministry here in Chester so far, and it is wonderful to look back and see how God has answered prayer and provided for our needs.  We praise God for His faithfulness and for your faithful prayers for our family and ministry.

On May 7th, God richly blessed our family with a beautiful addition, Gwendolynn Elizabeth Marie.  The miracle of her birth has opened many doors of opportunity for God's name to be glorified, and we cannot thank you enough for all your prayers, gifts, and words of encouragement throughout the last several months. Gwendolynn is very healthy, growing quickly, and even sleeping through the night!  Her three sisiters are learning how to help Mommy with the baby and love every minute of it.  Please continue to pray for complete relief for Patty's back pain.  She had an MRI this past week, and we are praying that the last several doctors would have wisdom in determining the cause of her discomfort and how to best treat the problem.

During the week of July 13th, God blessed our fourth annual Vacation Bible School with several new children attending and many good contacts with new area families.  We had a great time ministering with the team that came to help us from Gateway Baptist Church, and we appreciate the encouragement they brought to our church family.  Last Sunday we were excited to have two new children attending Sunday School as a direct result of VBS, along with their father (Tim), who said that they will be back.  Please pray for Tim as we seek to reach him for Christ and see the Lord working in his family.  Please pray also for a young man who raised his hand for salvation during our last youth night.  His name is Aaron, and although he did not receive Christ that night, he did leave the door open for us to talk to him again.

We are so thankful for those that God has added to His church here in Chester.  God has given us a group of people who love the Lord and desire to grow spiritually.  In His timing, we are praying that God will give us property in Chester suitable for a church building.  Until then, we plan to continue using the elementary school, and we are thankful for the good working relationship we have been able to establish with the folks there.

Our family appreciates the privilege God has given us to co-labor with you as your servants for Jesus' sake.  May His work be done for His glory as we approach the time of His soon return. Thank your for your love, prayers, and faithful support that enables us to continue our service for our wonderful Lord.

In Christ,
Dan & Patty Herr and family
