Safe Things

Philippians 3:1-14

I. Rejoice in the Lord (3:1)


II. Beware of people that will hurt your spiritual life (3:2)
        Of the Gentiles - dogs
        Of the Evil workers
        Of the Concision - cutters
                  Because we are the circumcision (3)
                  Because we worship God in the spirit (3)
                  Because we rejoice in Jesus Christ (3)
                  Because we have no confidence in the flesh (3)

III. Know who you are (4-8)
          What you were in the flesh (4-6)
          What you are in Christ (7-9)

IV. Know the Lord Jesus (10)
        The power of his resurrection (10)
        The fellowship of his suffering (10)
        Being made conformable (likeness) unto his death (10)

V. Attain (should arrive at) unto the resurrection of Christ (11-12)
       Not as though I attained (12) positional
       Not that I am perfect (12) positional
       Follow (chase after) apprehending (seize, grasp) Christ (12) practical

VI. Be Forgetting the things that are behind (13)

VII. Be Reaching forth to the things that are before (13)

​


VIII. Press toward the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (14)
