When the Lord instructs (Gen. 12:4)

So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with

him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of

Haran.

Be careful when using your reasoning (Gen.13:10)

And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well

watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even

as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

Be careful when using your heart (Gen.29:16-17)

(16) And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the

name of the younger was Rachel.

(17) Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured.

(18) And Jacob loved Rachel..., (cf. vs. 20).

Be careful of your lust (Josh.7:1) (cf.7:24-25)

But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan,

the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took

of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the

children of Israel. (cf.6:18-19)

Behave wisely before God (1 Sam.18:14)

And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD was with

him.

Listen to the counsel of a godly man (1 Sam.23:16)

And Jonathan Saul's son arose, and went to David into the wood, and

strengthened his hand in God.

Don’t make decisions when you are discouraged (1 Sam.27:1-2)

(1) And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul:

there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of

the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast

of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.

(2) And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men that were

with him unto Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.

Be careful of your judgement in times of jubilance (2 Sam.6:4-7)

(4) And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah,

accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.

(5) And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all

manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and

on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

(6) And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand

to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.

(7) And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him

there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

The Greatest decision of your Life (2 Cor.6:2)

(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation

have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day

of salvation.) (cf. Isa.49:8)
